Tomoson - Are Reviews Worth the Price?

I read about Tomoson in Indies Unlimited: Tutorials and Tools for Prospering in a Digital World, Volume I  (which is a very handy guidebook, although like everything Internet-related, has some parts that are already dated). Tomoson is a website that allows people to receive free products in exchange for writing and posting reviews. Because I didn't feel like watching their "How it Works" video, I signed up for the service strictly based on the Indies Unlimited recommendation. I was able to create an account without providing any credit card or PayPal information (more on that later). Tomoson lets you create promotions for your products via their website template.
